Acrobatic Ambitions (2025/100)

Hmmm. 100th post of 2025 today, so we'll go back to one of our favourite subjects. Everyone admires acrobats for their flexibility, strength and balance. Well, those are the things that come from regular training, alongside - most important of all - commitment. If you are working with a partner, then we need to add in 'trust'. Trust that your partner is always prepared in case something doesn't quite right and you need to be caught or supported. It takes years of dedication to achieve some of the things you see in shows, circus or indeed in amateur acrobatic gymnastics clubs. Friendships made doing acro last for life. We should know. Here's a succession of things going well, and occasionally not so well. Handstands: From 'Have a Go' to Professional (2024/288)

We love acrobatic gymnasts where guys work together to create amazing balances and other combinations. We also try to develop basic handstands in anyone who trains in our vicinity! Today we celebrate the art - everything from 'just give it a try' to really getting the body shape and line perfect for gymnastics competitions. So, in no particular order, here we go! With The Gymnasts (2024/276)

Gymnasts have to train ferociously hard to achieve their skill sets, but at the same time develop great physiques as a result. Today we have gymnasts at all levels, all ages, training, occasionally messing up, having fun together and putting on some pretty good routines for us as well. Enjoy, be inspired to get that bit fitter than you are now.
