Gymnastics is a Tough Sport! (2025/117)

 Gymnasts almost inevitably get themselves a great body image. They need strength with flexibility, and endurance to get through the routines. The younger they start, the better! The training is tough, and is usually augmented with lifting and bodyweight exercises. Great examples here, in all age groups. Gymnasts at work, rest and (occasionally) play! Now for some action:

Hmmm. 100th post of 2025 today, so we'll go back to one of our favourite subjects. Everyone admires acrobats for their flexibility, strength and balance. Well, those are the things that come from regular training, alongside - most important of all - commitment. If you are working with a partner, then we need to add in 'trust'. Trust that your partner is always prepared in case something doesn't quite right and you need to be caught or supported. It takes years of dedication to achieve some of the things you see in shows, circus or indeed in amateur acrobatic gymnastics clubs. Friendships made doing acro last for life. We should know. Here's a succession of things going well, and occasionally not so well.
