Image
Where we are, 'summer' time kicked in this morning. |Despite the frost! This is often the point where guys who have used the dark evenings to go training start to let up. Whereas - they should be upping their game ready for the beach body or whatever their goal is. So no apologies here for getting on with the inspirational training stuff!

Go Hard... or Go Home (2025/088)

Just one of those motivational messages you find displayed in gyms!  We'd actually say "go at level you're comfortable with... and keep coming back for more".  ...and keep in time with your mates...? ... ... ...  Every which way... ...Denis there is not bothered about people seeing how skinny he presently is - he knows that his work will pay off and that inspires him to train harder...   ...the sound effects in that one definitely convey determination! ...and there's a kid who definitely doesn't intend to get sent home! ...there's a case of making the best of what you've got! Not the most impressive gym we've seen, though. Finally for today, here's an interesting way to do shoulder strengthening. And slightly hazardous, we would venture. Not recommend that you try this...  ...but we like it! Don't forget that there is a vast archive of fitness posts here - try this one for starters ( CLICK HERE ) and then go explore some more.

Call It "The Grind" If You Must - But It Needs To Be FUN (2025/069)

If you want to change your body - fine. But, if you don't enjoy what you're doing, and don't feel instantly enthused each day to work out - change something! That way, long term, you'll benefit all the more, and so will your chosen sport or activity. Make it always something you WANT to do, not something you HAVE to do.   You can always tell the kids who want to be star sportsmen! Just be sure they are well supervised (and advised). And gymnasts need to spend far more time 'grinding' out the flexibility and strength exercises than actually performing on the apparatus. We leave the final two clips to well-supervised youngsters: Carl H first and then the Rodruigeuz brothers who are into Mauy Thai Stars of the future - no doubt.
