A very sad story in the UK this week... four fit young teenagers from Shrewsbury died when their car ran off the road in atrocious conditions and ended up upside down in a river, undiscovered for 48 hours. In a Welsh National Park, where they were planning to camp. At least two of them we know were 'lifters', and we also know that all four were best friends in a college in their town. It has made us think once again how valuable our friendships are, especially those made in the gym. He offers to 'spot' for you and before long you arrange always to show up at the same times, encouraging one another and being inspired. The friendships often extend 'out of gym hours' into other activities - like that ill-fated camping trip - and can last for years with each partner enjoying sharing time together because they just 'hit it off'.
