Handstand Variations

The handstand, in its various forms, is a key position on all gymnastic apparatus and is central to most acrobatic performances. Provided that you train propoerly (the whole body, and in the right way), it is not so difficult as it may appear. Talent, and a good sense of balance, obviously help but it is accessible to pretty much anyone if you are prepared to work at it. The real key is shoulder flexibility so that you get a perfect straight line down the body - but of course there are different forms and shapes which don't use that, especially when it is a one-hander. Enjoy these examples!
