If you go to a gym, you meet like-minded people and enjoy mutual encouragement. 

That brings self-satisfaction (maybe a smug feeling too, of being one of the better specimens! But why not?).

The important gain is SELF CONFIDENCE...

Not being 'afraid' of your body image any more: yes, you can get that shirt off without anxiety about what people think.

Is that good? Should be!
