Train at a level that suits you - but do train!
You'll be the one they watch, and look up to. You'll surprise yourself how much better you feel as a result of those sessions in the gym - they don't have to be intense... do what works for you.
OK - a little extremism sometimes helps (yes, anyone can do this, if you're prepared to put in a little effort)...
