Improvement is the Goal (2025/064)

Many guys who privately think about joining a gym feel intimidated by guys who have already developed their physiques, and think that they will be ridiculed. This is quite wrong: if you're there and learning which exercises are going to get you some improvement, you'll find encouragement, because dedicated gym guys recognise that the goal is to IMPROVE - "every day a little better" - and they, as well as you, will notice your improvement. That's what gains respect: its absolutely not about massive muscles and most guys into other sports don't want them either.

  1. A great set of guys as always, but the introduction led me to believe we might see some different body types striving for improvement in this post compared to the usual fare-- even just one or two. While there's always room to do better, all of these dudes are pretty well-improved.
